2018 A BUS FALLS INTO RIVER IN LAGOS Three persons, including a driver, Sidi Abudu, friday lost their lives after an interstate luxurious bus in which they were travelling plunged into the Maiden River in Ikorodu, Lagos. Fifty-nine people were on board the ill-fated bus which had taken off from Aba, Abia state for Lagos. However, on the Majidun River bridge at Owode Onirin, about 30 minutes from its Mazamaza, Lagos, final destination the bus unexpectedly took a plunge into the depth of the water below. 2019 A BRIDGE COLLAPSES IN TAIWAN A towering arch bridge over a bay in Eastern Taiwan has collapsed, sending an oil tanker truck falling onto boats in the water below. A disaster relief official said the collapse set off a fire and at least ten people have been seriously hurt, and six trapped people were rescued using life-saving tools under very difficult conditions.
